Nguyen, from Hanoi, Vietnam, as its outstanding senior woman and outstanding senior man for 2016. Ed McKechnie - 2016 Meritorious Achievement Award Recipient - Ed McKechnie earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from PSU in 1986. He joined Watco Companies, a Pittsburg-based transportation company that was one of the largest short-line railroad operators in the US, in 2000. April 11, 2016

Six Pitt State student broadcasters shine bright as finalists at the national College Broadcasters, Inc. competition! - This isn't the first time Pittsburg State broadcasting students have competed at a national level, but it is the first time the university has had so many students recognized for their work. "It's an incredible achievement for our students, and I couldn't be more proud," said Troy Comeau, director of broadcasting. "We work diligently to provide a well-rounded curriculum that combines classroom theory with hands-on experience.
