Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

Founded in 1947, ACM is a major force in advancing the skills of information technology professionals and students worldwide. Today, our 75,000 members and the public turn to ACM for the industry's leading Portal to Computing Literature, authoritative publications and pioneering conferences, providing leadership for the 21st century.

ACM student chapters at more than 700 colleges and universities worldwide provide generous opportunities for you to meet and learn from students, professionals, and faculty representatives. More than 160 Professional and Local SIG chapters and 600 Student Chapters worldwide function as intellectual and geographical nodes of activity for both ACM members and the computing community at large, offering seminars, lectures, and the opportunity to meet peers and experts in many fields of interest.
