Student Publications

Communication majors interested in pursuing careers in the print media, whether in journalism, photojournalism, advertising or another emphasis, are encouraged to join the staffs of the University's two student publications -- the Collegio, PSU's award-winning, weekly student newspaper, or the Kanza,the school's award-winning yearbook.

PSU, unlike many of the state's major university's, invites freshmen and sophomores to join the staffs of its student publications. Since the two publications operate independently from the Department of Communication, staff members for the Collegio and Kanza come from a wide range of academic disciplines. Nonetheless, many of our majors often serve in high-level positions with both publications.

The Collegio Online is the student newspaper's online publication, and browsers of this site are encouraged to check it out.
