The College of Education at Pittsburg State University welcomes you. We have an outstanding reputation for developing caring, committed, and competent professionals in a variety of academic programs. This reputation has been built by the dedication of a highly skilled faculty and staff and the constant pursuit of excellence. Four departments make up the College of Education: Curriculum and Instruction; Health, Human Performance, and Recreation; Psychology and Counseling; and Special Services and Leadership Studies. Programs in these departments develop professionals pursuing careers in psychology, clinical psychology, school psychology, school and community counseling, elementary and secondary teaching, special education, school and district leadership, school media specialist, reading specialist, English as a second language instruction, technology facilitator, and recreation.
