Laura Covert

Biography

Laura Covert is a recreation and therapeutic recreation instructor.  Prior to joining the Health, Human Performance, and Recreation Department at PSU, Ms. Covert spent five and a half years living in Omaha, NE.  While in Omaha, she worked as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and wellness coordinator at various wellness centers and retirement communities specializing in older adults.  In addition to working, Ms. Covert also began pursing her Ph.D. in Gerontology through University of Nebraska Omaha. 

Ms. Covert holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy and Corporate Recreation and Wellness and a Master of Science Degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy from Northwest Missouri State University.
