Mediated Classrooms

The College of Arts and Sciences has an on-going program to update and renovate selected classroom facilities to support the use of the latest technologies.  While some classrooms have additional types of instructional equipment, classrooms that are mediated will include a ceiling mounted LCD Projector, VCR/DVD players, computer with Internet access, visual/document presenter, laptop connections (visual/internet/audio), and sound support.

For information and pricing on mediating a classroom or replacing equipment, please contact Donna Sue Pintar.

Equipment Usage Instructions: Faculty using multimedia classrooms may need some orientation for the use of the equipment. The Mediated Classrooms table/link below contains links to the equipment specific to each classroom.  These instructions are also taped to the top of the classroom media cabinets.  For additional information or one-on-one training, please complete and submit the  Mediated Classroom Training Request Form .

Projector Lamps: The life expectancy for most LCD projector lamps is about 2,000 hours. However, they do not burn out. They gradually lose brightness and grow dimmer to provide time to get a replacement. Please order at least one lamp for each model of LCD projector you are using in your department for emergency cases.  Contact Donna Sue Pintar for current lamp pricing and vendors.
