Admission to Graduate School

Application: Complete application at https://go.pittstate.edu/apps.intro and submit online or download and mail to address on the form.

A non-refundable fee of $35 for domestic students or $60 for international students is due with the application. You may mail a check made out to Pittsburg State University, or call the Graduate Office at 620-235-4223 with credit card information. Non-Degree seeking students are exempt from paying the application fee.

Degree Seeking Students

Application deadline: Three weeks prior to start of the semester and no earlier than two semesters before the first semester of enrollment.

Departmental Review: Application will be forwarded for departmental review after the transcripts have been received.

Notification: Students will be notified when the application has been processed and reviewed by the Graduate School and the appropriate department. Degree seeking students will be admitted as either conditional or unconditional. Students who are conditionally admitted will be notified of any deficiencies such as test scores, proof of academic achievement or pre-requisite courses, etc.

Non-Degree Seeking Students

Students who are requesting to enroll as non-degree seeking must complete the same application as full time degree seeking students and submit all relevant transcripts.
