Electrical Technology (Electricity)
An instructional program that prepares individuals to become residential, commercial, and industrial electricians or technicians. Includes the design, development, installation, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. From wiring a residential single-family home, to construction of a multi-million dollar building job-site, to the system analysis, design, testing, and application of engineering data required in the industrial automated control and robotics of manufacturing, programs graduates are prepared for a wide range of employment opportunities. Emphasis is given to preparing graduates to become certified electricians by attaining the Journeyman Electrical License.
Two-Year Technical Certificate in Electrical Technology
The two-year technical certificate is for those individuals who want the electrical training and certification without taking general education courses.
