Those students having wind, string or percussion instrument as applied major enroll in MUSIC 131,132 Piano Class and MUSIC 231, 232 Intermediate Piano Class and/or applied piano (this may exceed 4 hours). Students must pass MUSIC 131, 132 Piano Class and MUSIC 231, 232 Intermediate Piano Class with a "C" or better and/or pass the piano proficiency examination. The piano proficiency examination may be take any semester; those who pass will be excused from further piano requirements. All students, including keyboard majors, must meet piano proficiency requirements before admission to the professional semester.
