back to Graduate School
The mission of the GSAC is threefold: 1) To facilitate communication among graduate students, faculty, and administrators. This includes such items as graduate programs, graduate student services, and other relevant issues related to the graduate population. 2) To promote professional development and interaction among the graduate population through social events, academic events, and specialized workshops. 3) To act as a source of information and guidance for current and incoming graduate students.
Any graduate student may and is encouraged to attend the GSAC meetings. The GSAC shall include one or two graduate student representatives from each graduate department at Pittsburg State University (dependent on number of programs and students). These representatives will be the voice of their respective departments at the meeting and shall be appointed or elected by each department before the first meeting in September. Any concerns regarding the departments and the programs they offer will be brought forth by the representatives and those individuals will be responsible for reporting information back to the department. Each representative shall have one vote at Council meetings. No member may hold more than one voting position in the Council at any given time.
