The Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology offers students who have graduated from a community college or technical college with an Associate degree an opportunity to pursue a professional career path and extend their education. The Associate degree will have a technical emphasis related to graphics and imaging. Students with an earned Associate degree can transfer up to 64 college credits. After taking an additional 60 hours from Pittsburg State University students graduate with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) with a major in Technology and an emphasis in Digital and Print Media.
The two years needed to complete the BAS provides hands-on experiences for a real-world job. In addition, this program gives additional orientation to the graphics/print industry, theory, logic, leadership, and marketing skills, in preparation for professional opportunities.
Program coursework is comprehensive, specialized, and well rounded. Coursework will be centered on the information needed to be successful in the print/graphics industries.
