Career Counseling
Career Services employs a National Board Certified Career Counselor (NCCC) to assist you with your career counseling needs. If you are in need of career assessment, trying to decide on a major, are in job transition, have dual career problems, are experiencing job stress or burnout, or just lack career direction, then make an appointment with a staff counselor.
Resume Referral
The number one way we assist our clients to find employment is through resume referral. The software database used by Career Services allows us to refer your resume to an employer via the world wide web. When an employer contacts our office we can give them access to your resume immediately upon request. If you are an employer, please call the Career Services office at: (620) 235-4140 or e-mail bstotts@pittstate.edu to get a PIN to access Gorillas4Hire.
Job Vacancy Bulletins
New job vacancies are added to our job lists daily. To access the job vacancies you must be registered with the Gorillas4Hire program. To register contact Career Services: (620) 235-4140 or email: jparker@pittstate.edu.
Mock Interviews
Let our trained staff conduct a mock interview so you can practice before the real event takes place. If you provide a video tape, we will tape the session and critique your interview skills, or you can take the tape with you and review it alone in the privacy of your own home. To schedule a mock interview call (620) 235-4140.
Perfect Interview™
Creates a compelling and realistic "simulated interview" experience where you are asked challenging questions and must respond, just as you would in a real job interview. You can use Perfect Interview (TM) to prepare for any employment interview. You may use Perfect Interview (TM) in the Career Services Office at 203 Horace Mann. For additional information or to schedule your interview please call 235-4140.
