The Academic Affairs Department is responsible for the promotion of activities that stimulate scholastic achievement, intellectual curiosity and the attainment of knowledge. It is the goal of this department to improve academic standards and teaching methods for the benefit of the Pittsburg State University student body. Endeavors of the department include, but are not limited to the investigation of Dead Week policy violations, the selection of Distinguished Faculty for Apple Day, and assisting with Constitution Day planning. The Academic Affairs Director is also responsible for responding to any student questions or concerns that are scholastic in nature.
