Family and Guest Activities
We have no limit on the number of guests a student may invite to attend their graduation ceremony. Adequate seating will be available. No tickets are needed for your guests. You and your family and friends are invited to join in your commencement celebration by personally ringing the Centennial Bell located at the southwest corner of Axe Library. The Centennial Bell will be available for ringing from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017.

Accommodations for Special Needs
Handicapped accommodation Handicapped parking permits can be obtained from Jeanine Van Becelaere, Registrar's Secretary, Room 103, Russ Hall, prior to December 15. Handicapped parking will be available on the north lot of the Garfield W. Weede Physical Education Building, north lot of the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts and the parking lot west of the Garfield W. Weede Physical Education Building (first row on the east and south). Commencement parking map
Graduating students in wheelchairs or who need special accommodation at Commencement should contact the Registrar at 620-235-4206. There is designated seating in the arena for our guests who need accommodations. Persons requiring accommodations should arrive early and seek assistance from the ushers if needed. Doors are open for seating approximately 40 minutes prior to ceremony. Those with mobility concerns may be dropped off on Homer Street (northbound traffic lane) at the entrance to the Weede.
Safety Preparedness for Commencement Exercises In accordance with the Kansas State Fire Marshall regulations, we request that you take a moment to identify the two emergency exits closest to you as you arrive at the Weede Physical Education building. In case of emergency, pay close attention to the announcer for important safety information. University Police will be available. Contact 620-235-4624 in case of emergency.
