Pittsburg State University head baseball coach Steve Bever announced
today (August 22) that Beau Schultz has been hired as a full-time assistant
baseball coach for the Gorillas.
Schultz steps into the full-time position after
serving as a graduate assistant coach for the Gorillas in 2008. He had
spent the previous three years as a special education teacher -- two years
in the Carl Junction (Mo.) school district after working at Pittsburg
High School for one year. He served as an assistant baseball coach at
both PHS and CJHS, serving as head freshman coach at Carl Junction.
