The
MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) is an examination , used
to evaluate medical school applicants. Other professional programs
have their own examinations, and if you are interested in one of
the other health professional programs, you should learn all you
can about its entrance examination.
Pre-medical students usually
take the MCAT in April of their Junior year. A second sitting is offered
in August for those who must improve their test scores. Students typically
apply for medical school at the end of their Junior year; early acceptance
requires an April MCAT test date.
The average person accepted
to medical school has a total MCAT score of 25-30 points or above
and a grade point average of 3.4 or higher. For additional information
on the MCAT, see the following web site: Information
