Is attendance at Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. required?
Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. is highly recommended, but not required, for students transferring from other institutions. Session content is designed to facilitate efficient progress through initial meetings with a faculty advisor and completion of the online enrollment process.

Is there a fee for Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S.?
No. There is no charge for either students or their parents/guests to attend a Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. session.

How do I register for a Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. session?
Students who have been accepted to Pittsburg State are mailed information about Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. about one month before the sessions are scheduled. To register, students should call the Admission Office at 1-800-854-7488.

Should my parents come with me to Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S.?
Parents and other guests are always welcome in the Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. sessions. A separate Parent/Guest Pitt C.A.R.E.S. session is offered during Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. Plus, parents and other guests are invited to participate in the activities planned for students.

When can I enroll if I'm not able to attend Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S.?
Transfer Pitt C.A.R.E.S. sessions are scheduled on "transfer enrollment" days established by the Kansas Board of Regents. These periods are the first opportunity for transfer students to enroll at Pittsburg State, but they may also enroll during open enrollment periods.
