Campus Advisement, Registration and Enrollment Services
Why is attendance at one of these sessions required?
Because the Pittsburg State community has a high priority on student success, it requires entering freshmen to participate in several programs designed to assist with the significant changes and challenges inherent in the transition from high school to college. The PITT C.A.R.E.S. session is one of a group of required activities that also includes Gorilla Warmup and the Freshman Experience course.

Can my little brother/sister come with me to PITT C.A.R.E.S.?
Enrollment Services welcomes participation by students' families because we understand how important these individuals are in encouraging your success. Siblings in middle and high school may participate in separate sessions designed specifically for them. However, you should be aware that Enrollment program components are primarily aimed at an adult audience, and that small children may become bored and restless during program presentations. For that reason, we ask that younger brothers/sisters who attend be accompanied by a parent at all times.
