University Student Ambassadors

University Student Ambassadors

This group of Pittsburg State University students provide a student
perspective to campus visitors during tours of campus.

The University Student Ambassadors are an outstanding group of PSU students who volunteer their time to provide a current student perspective to visiting future students and their parents/guest. Ambassadors provide tours and information during weekday individual campus visits, Rumble in the Jungle Senior Saturday, Junior Jungle Day, Tour Pitt State and for other events and group visits as needed.

Students interested in applying:

  • Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Must have attended PSU for at least one semester prior to the spring semester in which they are applying

Applicants who are accepted into the Ambassador program should be prepared to:

  • Attend the mandatory training scheduled for the first Saturday after classes begin in the fall semester
  • Serve one hour per week when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters
  • Attend one evening meeting per month
  • Serve as guides during the large visit events hosted by the Admission Office including, but not limited to Rumble in the Jungle Senior Saturday, Junior Jungle Day and Tour Pitt State

Pitt C.A.R.E.S. Leaders (new student orientation) are selected from the University Student Ambassadors.  Any student interested in being a C.A.R.E.S. Leader must first become on Ambassador.

Applications for University Student Ambassador are generally accepted during February with selection workshops held in March.
