For admission purposes, you are considered a transfer student if you have completed at least 24 credit hours of college-level course work after high school graduation. (If you have less than 24 college credits, you may be required to submit additional information including a final high school transcript and American College Test (ACT) scores before you are admitted.)
To qualify for admission, a transfer student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students with fewer than 24 college credits will also need to meet one of the following requirements:
- ACT score of 21 or higher OR
- Rank in the top one-third of high school graduating class OR
- A minimum of a 2.0 (2.5 for out-of-state students) cumulative high school GPA in the Regents Core Curriculum
