To qualify, you must meet the following requirements and be seeking select degrees (see below)**:
FRESHMEN
- 21 ACT composite score
- 2.5 GPA in the Kansas Core Curriculum*
*Kansas Core Curriculum: 4 units English, 3 units Math, 3 units Natural Science, 3 units Social Science, and one unit computer applications
TRANSFER STUDENTS (minimum 24 non-concurrent credit hours)
- 21 ACT composite score
- 2.5 cumulative college GPA
**This program applies to full-time undergraduate students who are seeking one of the following degrees from the College of Technology - Automotive Technology, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, Wood Technology or Graphic Communications Management, or one of the following degrees in the College of Arts & Sciences - Biology, Chemistry or Physics. This program is limited to 20 new students per academic year. Those admitted into the Midwest Student Exchange Program pay the equivalent of 150% of in-state tuition. For the 2009-2010 academic year the 150% tuition rate is $3,209 per semester compared to $6,558 for out-of-state tuition. You can save more than $3300 per semester! (There is a $14 per credit hour fee, up to $140, for all technology courses.)
If accepted to the Pittsburg State University MSEP program, the student must enroll full-time and maintain a 2.5 GPA and make acceptable/verified progress toward a degree or they risk losing the 150% tuition break.
Qualified students are accepted to the MSEP program on a first-come, first-served basis.
