Technology Day 2014

The Pittsburg State University College of Technology invites you to bring your students to experience the Kansas Technology Center (KTC) and its many educational opportunities. On Friday, October 3rd, 2014, PSU will open its doors to students who are interested in pursuing top rated careers in Automotive Technology, Construction, Engineering Technology, Graphics and Imaging Technologies, and Technology and Workforce Learning. Lab demonstrations and tours of the facility will allow students to see what exciting opportunities their knowledge of science and mathematics can provide them. Please share this information with the appropriate instructors in your school including those in the art, journalism, science, and math departments, as well as those in your technology department.

We encourage school administrators, parents and community members to attend as well. The schedule for the Kansas Technology Center will be as follows:

  • Tours of the facility will begin every hour on the hour from 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m.
  • Laboratory demonstrations will begin every half hour from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

To register for this upcoming event, please fill out this form and email it to jfuentez@pittstate.edu.  We will need your registration information emailed by Friday, September 19th. To allow us to plan for your visiting group, please indicate what time your group will be arriving at the KTC. Student information as well as one area of interest per student should also be indicated on the form. Students may attend any of the lab demonstrations during the time period they will be on campus.

Lunch is on your own. The PSU Dining Hall and Overman Student Center have many lunch options and there are various fast food restaurants located near the university as well.
