Intensive English Program (IEP) Admission

Applications for IEP admission are accepted for Fall Session 1 (August), Fall Session 2 (October), Spring Session 1 (January), Spring Session 2 (March), Summer Session (June). Each session is eight weeks.

The following are required prior to completion of the application process:


Submit application for admission. You may apply using the on-line application (preferred) or print the PDF version.

    STEP 2

    • Pay the $60.00 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
    • For an additional cost of $45.00 we will Express Mail your I-20 should you be accepted

    STEP 3

    Submit the following documents:

    • Certified bank statement or a financial guarantee
    • Financial statement of support
    • Copy of passport (if available) 
    • No TOEFL or IELTS is required for IEP admission

    STEP 4

    • If you are currently studying in an Intensive English Program in the U.S., you will need to complete the IEP Screening Form
    • If you are currently studying in the U.S., you will need to complete the SEVIS Transfer Form
    • If your spouse and/or dependent children will be joining you in the U.S., you will need to complete the Dependent Form


    IEP Admission Requirements

    • Applicants must have completed high school to be admitted into IEP
    • For conditional admission, applicants must meet the admission requirements for the academic program

    Applicants seeking conditional admission do not need to apply to IEP separately. Only one application is needed. Please complete the undergraduate or graduate application process.

    Pittsburg State University reserves the right to change standards for admission as deemed necessary. Every attempt will be made to communicate changes of policy, but the lack of knowledge of admission policy on the part of the prospective student will not be reason for the University to waive current admission standards.
