Group Campus Visits

The Pittsburg State Admission Office is pleased to host campus visits geared toward groups of college-bound students.  Group visits are a great way for students to experience our student-friendly campus and learn more about both academic and co-curricular opportunities available at Pitt State.  Please read the information below to learn more about our group visit opportunities and for scheduling instructions.

General Guidelines

Groups planning to visit should follow these guidelines:

  • Types of Groups:  Schools, TRIO, AVID
  • Six or more students in the Group
  • Reservations should be made at least four weeks in advance.
  • Groups must provide at least one chaperone for every 15 students.
  • To get the most out of a visit, students are expected to be attentive and courteous while on campus.
  • We regret that Pittsburg State University is NOT able to cover the cost of meals.
  • Please no more than 100 students per group.

Visit Dates

Visits are generally 2 hours, but can vary depending on scheduled activities.  Depending on time of year, some requested activities may not be possible due to limited Faculty/Staff on campus.  Groups are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, and do fill quickly.  Only one group can be scheduled per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am - 2pm.   To schedule your group visit, please complete and return the Group Visit Scheduling Form before a date can be confirmed.

We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your visit.  Please keep in mind that a visit agenda cannot be guaranteed for groups that arrive more than 15 minutes late.

When scheduling your visit, please indicate the agenda items below that you would like included in your visit.
