My favorite thing about Pitt State: What I love the most about Pitt State is the people. Without the people, there wouldn’t be a sense of home or Gorilla spirit all together. Ultimately, it comes down to who you know and I am proud of the strong relationships and bonds I’ve created during my time at Pittsburg State. None of the greatness that exists today at PSU would be possible if it wasn’t for the quality people that are constantly and genuinely providing their time and efforts to our institution.
Why I decided to attend Pitt State: While in high school, I had different mentors who were aware of my interest in television and film. They knew that my goals could be achieved at Pitt State and shared information with me regarding the amazing broadcasting program at PSU. One of those mentors worked for the university. She even offered me an on-campus job as one of her student employees. After visiting the broadcast studio during a campus tour, I decided to apply and attend Pittsburg State! During that first semester as a freshman, I got to anchor my first of many live TV news casts! I was amazed at the opportunities I was given by the university. Not a lot of broadcast students across the nation get to say they’ve hosted a live show, but I do!
