The Pittsburg State University Department of Chemistry offers a Master's Degree in chemistry, a degree certified by the American Chemical society. These degrees open many doors for serious students. Positions are available in industry, in plastics, in secondary education, and in environmental chemistry. A large fraction of chemistry students seek further education in graduate schools. Many also pursue careers in related fields such as medicine, pharmacy and engineering.
