Educational Technology - MS with emphasis in Technology Integration Specialist or Library Media Licensure Overview

Type: Graduate

The Master of Science degree with a major in Educational Technology is designed to prepare the student to work with technology in educational settings.  Two curricular emphases are offered within the degree:

  • Technology Integration Specialist
  • Library Media (Pre K-12)

Candidates who select the technology integration specialist study the design, development, and management of instructional materials through the use of educational technologies.  Candidates who select the library media emphasis will be prepared to direct the activities of learning resource centers in elementary, middle and/or secondary schools, and will be eligible for recommendation for licensure as a Kansas school library media specialist.

Graduate Admission Requirements

Educational Technology (MS):

Admission to the Educational Technology program requires an undergraduate GPA of 3.0. However, student's who did not earn a 3.0 undergraduate GPA are still encouraged to apply. These students can be admitted conditionally to the program with other requirements added. Students applying for the Library Media emphasis will need to submit a copy of their teaching license for full admission. Students applying for the Technology Integration Specialist emphasis will need to submit two letters of reference for full admission.

**Please note that International students wishing to come to PSU cannot apply for the MS Educational Technology program because it is only offered online.
